G13 BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU HOLLY SPRINGS NC

In 1992, Professor Roberto Godoi transformed a space at the back of his mother’s house in São Paulo, Brazil into his first Jiu-Jitsu studio. With only a purple belt around his waist, he embarked on a journey that would significantly shape the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu landscape. Through the years, Godoi and a dedicated group of professors who competed under his name – Charles “Duende”, Uelber “Guri”, Julio Pinheiro “Julião”, and Celso Brito – founded G13 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2013.

Believing in the timeless power of solid foundations, G13BJJ has evolved into a world-class Jiu-Jitsu institution. We are not just a school or a teaching methodology; we are a growing family. Our teachers, mostly former students, have chosen to spread our vision, mission, and lifestyle by opening their own G13BJJ schools. Together, we have grown into a community of over 10,000 students, with 100 units in 5 countries, offering a world-class experience for anyone eager to learn Jiu-Jitsu, regardless of age or skill level.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY ASSUMPTION OF RISK COVENANT NOT TO SUE

The individual named below (hereafter referred to as “I” or “me”) desires to participate in “Brazilian Jiu Jitsu” and/or Muay Thai Boxing ((hereafter “training activities”) provided by G13 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, LLC (hereafter “G13BJJ”) with offices located around the world. In consideration of being allowed to participate in “training activities” at G13BJJ, and in recognition of the company’s reliance hereon, I agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this instrument.

1. I am aware and understand the “training activities” provided at G13BJJ are potentially dangerous activities that involve the risk of serious injury, disability, and/or death.

2. I acknowledge any injuries I sustain may result from or be compounded by the ordinary actions, omissions, or negligence of the company.

3. Notwithstanding the risk, I wish to voluntarily participate in “training activities” with knowledge of the danger involved and hereby agree to accept and assume all risks of injury, disability, and/or death arising from my participation in the “training activities”.

4. I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against G13BJJ, Roberto Godoi, and their staff, Independent Contractors, Trainers, Coaches, Instructors, Affiliates, Business Partners, Sponsors, Agents, Representatives, Heirs and Assigns (hereafter Releasees”) arising out of or attributable to participation in the “training activities”.

5. I agree not to bring a claim against the company or its releasees, and forever release and discharge the company and its releasees from liability under such claims if those claims are related to “training activities”.

6. If a claim is brought against G13BJJ by a me or by a third party that arises out of an injury I suffered while participating in “training activities” at G13BJJ, I shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and all Releasees against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgments, settlements, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses of whatever kind, including attorney fees, fees, and costs of enforcing any right to indemnification under this Release.

7. This waiver, release, and covenant not to sue does not apply to instances of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liabilities that North Carolina law does not permit to be released by this agreement.

8. This release constitutes the sole and entire agreement of the company and me with respect to the “training activities” and supersedes all prior contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and verbal, with respect to such subject matter.

I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor named above. By signing below I hereby consent to and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions in this release of liability.
